Team Continuum

“There’s a lot more to cancer than finding a cure.” Team Continuum improves the quality of life of cancer patients, here and now, by providing immediate assistance to address non-medical needs as they face the challenges and stresses of battling cancer. At Holiday Time, Team Continuum enables hospitals in NY Metro Area to acquire toys for children battling cancer who must spend the holidays in a hospital or care facility.

To date, Team Continuum raised over $4.2m through donations from participants on the Team who run in the ING New York City Marathon, as well as by sponsorships and special events. In addition, the organization holds fundraisers. In making a connection between two of life’s most challenging pursuits, that of battling cancer and running a marathon, we raise awareness of the strength and reliance of cancer patients and the doctors, families, friends and organizations that are vital to the treatment and recovery process.

Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation

The Thomas G. Labrecque Foundation is committed to raising awareness about lung cancer, a disease that claims more than 1.3 million lives each year.  In fact, more Americans die each year from lung cancer than from breast, prostate, ovarian, and colorectal cancers combined!  Once thought to be only a smoker’s disease, statistics now show that over 60% of people diagnosed with lung cancer have never smoked or have quit smoking.

The Foundation needs your help to change the statistics on lung cancer.  By raising awareness and support for vital lung cancer research programs, we hope to identify lung cancer biomarkers that will lead to early detection and stop progression of this fatal disease that affects us all - smokers, non-smokers and former smokers alike.  To date, the Foundation has raised over $3.5 million dollars to promote its collaborative approach to solving one of the most complex health issues we face.  This funding will directly support the development of new treatments and better screening tools to diagnose lung cancer at an earlier, more treatable stage and help save lives.  We hope you will join us in the fight against the world’s number one cancer killer!

Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation

Multiple myeloma is an incurable blood cancer. Although progress has been made in treating multiple myeloma, the five-year relative survival rate remains one of the lowest of all cancers. The mission of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is to relentlessly pursue innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure.

As the world’s number-one private funder of multiple myeloma research, the MMRF has raised over $120 million, 93% of which directly supports research and related programming.   The MMRF has already seen a significant return on its research investment, including the approval of four new treatments that are extending myeloma patients’ lives and being explored as treatments for 19 other cancers.
