We recently hosted an event for kids who run in our Mighty Milers program along with with the professional athletes who were in town for the UAE Healthy Kidney 10K. What you probably don’t know is that this program is available for kids in schools and community centers across the country and in South Africa. Another NYRR program called Young Runners is introducing fitness to kids before and after school. Find out more and share our goals.

Are you familiar with the simple and effective D-Tag ChronoTrack timing system? It’s a big name for an easy-to-use tag that attaches to your shoe on race day to record your splits and official finish time. Check out the instructions and video online to become familiar with the little orange tag, and put your mind at ease. The D-Tag will be the only scoring device used for the ING New York City Marathon—no tag, no time.

On June 2, join your friends and neighbors in celebrating the sport of running and the joy of fitness. Check out the National Running Day website for local running events near you or post one that you want to host.
