KEEP LOOKING AHEAD

Set Your Pace and Race Goals

Speaking of race pace, are you feeling good about your recent training runs and times? Check out our training strategies and free weekly basic training schedule as you work toward the Staten Island starting line. We’ll provide tens of thousand of cheering spectators to motivate you along the five-borough route, but the running is up to you.

Update Your Profile

Review your Runner Profile by logging in and clicking on the marathon tab to make sure that all of your information is correct. Please check your country and team (if you’re on one), and submit any changes that you’d like us to know about.

SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO

Avoid Trial By Fire

You don’t want to experiment with anything new on race day. If you’re thinking of changing your form, trying a different shoe, or testing out a new product, do it in training first. PowerBar Performance Bars and Fruit Smoothie Bars will be provided at the race start, and PowerBar Gel will be on the course at mile 18. Use them to fuel your long runs over the next few months. Need more incentive? Receive 20% off your next PowerBar product order with the checkout code on our site, and start saving at PowerBarStore.com.

A Race Within the Race

On marathon day, five lucky runners will compete in the Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge for fame and bragging rights. If you’re a teacher, administrator, or full-time coach for K-12 students in a school in one of New York’s five boroughs, and you can finish a marathon in 3:00 to 3:30, we want to hear from you. Don’t miss this chance to be featured in the live WNBC-TV broadcast and show the world what you can do! Check our site to learn about the five runners who are chosen, and watch for updates during race week to help you guess who will ultimately win on November 7.
