Meeting Friends and Family
It is strongly recommended that you meet your friends and family members after the race at a previously arranged location away from Central Park, such as a restaurant, hotel, or other easily identified public place. The ING New York City Marathon Mobile Spectator App has a GPS option for runners; this allows fans to follow your prgress thoughout the race and through the post-finish area.
Make sure your friends and family members know the Runner Information Hotline number: 800.496.6193. They can call this number on marathon day and key in your race (bib) number if they’re unsure of your whereabouts. They must know your race (bib) number to access the system.
Finisher Certificate
Finisher certificates will be mailed to U.S. finishers in late December and to international finishers with the Official Results issue in January.
