I'm In - LocalsThe ING New York City Marathon, the world's most prestigious road race, is a thrill for local runners, who can compete on the very roadways that they train on 365 days a year. In addition, top local open and masters runners can vie for prize money reserved for NYRR members, and there's a purse for top-finishing teams as well. This year's top female NYRR finisher, Buzunesh Deba of the Bronx and the West Side Runners (WSX) team, broke into the top-10 overall with a 2:29:55 finishing time. The top male local finisher, Dereje Hailegiorgis, also of WSX, was 15th overall in 2:19:10. (Please note: places listed below are unofficial; official results will be available in about two weeks.)
