What a Marathon Monday it was! Thank you to everyone that participated. We will be picking 50 names and will be posting them at a variety of places tomorrow, Tuesday, November 9th

Today in New York: In the Tri-State Area, tune into Today in New York, on NBC4 from 5am-7am (EDT) to find out if you are a lucky winner!

NYRR.org: All of the 50 names will be posted on our official marathon website www.ingnycmarathon.org beginning at 12 noon (EDT) Congratulations to everyone that will receive a guaranteed entry into the 2011 ING New York City Marathon*. If you didn’t get in, please don’t despair. If you registered today, you are officially registered for the lottery that will take place in April 2011.

*Your credit card will be charged for the full ING New York City Marathon entry. If you were chosen as part of the Marathon Monday Mania drawing, and your card was denied, you entry will be denied

Be a part of Marathon Monday Mania! You could get into the ING New York City Marathon 2011 before anyone.

Follow the steps below to be entered into a special drawing:

1. Beginning Monday November 8 at 12:00 p.m., apply for the ING New York City Marathon before 5:00 p.m. EDT. You can apply from any computer or smartphone.
2. Complete the application and write down your entry number.
3. Complete one of the “Scavenger” items and take your picture while doing it.

   Scavenger Hunt:

   Take a photo with ’you"’ doing one of these and post those photos to an “I’m in. We’re in. Get in” Facebook fan page along with your entry number on Monday, November 8th between 12 noon and 5pm Eastern Standard Time:

   • Visit the ING New York City Marathon Expo during Marathon Week, go to the NYRR booth and ask about the NYC Half which will take place on Sunday, March 20
   • Go to a Subway restaurant and take your photo next to any picture of Jared
   • Take a picture of you with your ASICS shoes and ING Orange Laces
   • Hold up a Continental Airlines print ad or airplane ticket jacket
   • Visit a Dunkin’ Donuts location and drink a cup of coffee
   • Go to an Equinox and take your photo next to an Equinox sign
   • Go to a Foot Locker store and take your photo next to an ASICS sneaker
   • If you live outside of the U.S. take a photo of yourself running while holding something with the NYRR logo on it (i.e. nyrr logo on a piece of paper, NY Runner magazine, Runners World Magazine etc.)
   • If you live outside of the U.S. take a photo of yourself with your country’s flag
   • Run the new NYRR 5 Event on Friday November 5th and take a photo of yourself with your NYRR 5 bib
   • Take a photo of yourself reading the New York Times Results section on Monday, November 8th
   • Take a photo of yourself logging onto NYRR’s Team for Kids website.
   • Take a picture next to a Tiffany & Co. blue box
   • Eat some Emerald Nuts and wash them down with Poland Spring Brand® Natural Spring water and lemon lime Gatorade G Series Pro Endurance Formula
   • Go to one of the Nissan LEAF Breathe Easy Tour stops.
   • Eat a PowerBar or PowerBar Gel
   • Smile as you eat a piece of Grana Padano cheese with a slice of a New York State MacIntosh Apple
   • Prepare for your Marathon Sunday Tailgate Party with a Coor’s Light
   • Check the time with your TIMEX watch
   • Take a photo of yourself checking out the Athlete Tracker presented by Tata Consultancy Services
   • Sing UPS’ “We Love Logistics” song
   • Don’t despair if you don’t get in, your entry will still be part of the ING New York City Marathon 2011 lottery pool with additional drawings leading up to the full Lottery announcement in late April. Stay Tuned to www.ingnycmarathon.com for details
   • Rules and Regulations:
     Your credit card will be charged $11 administrative fee to apply for ING New York City Marathon 2011. Only if you are one of the lucky winners, your card will be charged the full ING New York City Marathon 2011 entry fee. Anyone that is already granted “guaranteed entry” for 2011 should not apply for this lottery.
     
     Winners will be announced on Partner Websites and potentially on a NBC or NBC4 New York morning show on Tuesday, November 9th. By participating in this special drawing you agree to having your name announced through one of these channels.
4. Post the picture and entry number on the “I’m In. We’re In. Get In.” 2011 Facebook page by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, November 8 to qualify for the special drawing.
